A Picnic in the Park

The heat wave in New England finally broke on Friday, and we decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather with a family picnic. This is something that Kevin and I always talk about doing because it's essentially free and we really want to spend as much time outside as we can before the snow comes. So, we packed up the basket, grabbed a blanket (that's a lie, this blanket lives in my trunk specifically for these occasions), buckled in the dog, and set off for the park. We stopped by the grocery store to pick up our food- I opted for a baguette and brie with some vegetarian egg rolls, while Kevin packed some sushi and a chicken salad grinder. Zelda packed her water bowl, treats and a frisbee. Since this park had a leash law, we brought her 30 foot training lead and tied it to a bench near the blanket so that she could explore. zelda I'm not used to Kevin being around on the weekends- he's always had to work! I think I could get used to this 🙂 We threw Spotify on his phone and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon as a family. puppy picnic What are your favorite fall activities? xx Meghan
